Served Up Fresh : Pricing Problems Solved!

A while back we had a guest blogger, (Hi Carry Ann) in her post she talked up Easy as Pie. After reading what she had to say,  comments about what others had to say in the thread and hearing what this gal had to say about Easy As Pie I decided that I just  had to find out for myself! I was way too curious. I mean, people can’t stop raving about it, including people who I hugely respect in the biz so I decided I had to know what it was that was so great! So I took a night, printed it all out and decided to start reading….

This was fresh, fabulous and the best pricing how to I’ve ever seen – hands down! Now I’m going to admit to you that I’d been skeptical. I mean I love my pricing, I LOVE my sales and I even openly share and give strategies about pricing. Surly I would not be the ideal candidate for a how to on pricing, right? Well I want you to know that even I picked up a ton of little tricks, did a little tweaking and have NEVER been happier with my pricing or the results. So if when I said love, you said hate a few sentences ago then I’m telling you (and you can give me a hug for it later) that you are going to devour what Alicia is serving up.

I truly believe that every single growing photographer should invest in and study Easy as Pie! Alicia Caine is brilliant and witty as she breaks down and helps you TRULY understand why and how to charge what you need to charge! I can’t even imagine if I would have had this book straight from the get go when I was learning and figuring it all out! Alicia talks about all the price jumps in her first year and I did the same thing – I bet we both wish someone had this for each of us back then.

If you want to be profitable, I mean really profitable… I’m not saying if you want to be full time, make 6 figures, and never stop working (I can tell you 6 figures is more than possible with 4 to 5 shoots a month) …what I am saying is if you want to make every shoot you do profitable and worth your time I believe you really have to have two things in place incredibly well! One is your pricing, it has got to be easy, clear and strategic.  The other is your ordering. It needs to be in person, fun and set up to do the work for you so you don’t have to. So learn about pricing from Alicia and get where you need to be with that and when you’re ready to implement in person ordering once you have your pricing rock solid, come to me (workshop, one on one mentoring and phone consults) and I can help you make that AMAZING too! Working less and making more is not a fairytale! It’s very possible and there are a lot of us doing it. You can do it too!

THERE ARE NO SECRETS IN BUSINESS – ONLY IDEAS THAT YOU HAVEN’T LEARNED YET!

Alicia’s Easy as Pie is awesome! I got it several months ago and just got the upgrade last month. It truly is worth every penny. You will make it back in no time.

I agree! I absolutely LOVE Easy as Pie. Have to say I was surprised you got it but I love your quote that it’s not secrets just things we haven’t learned yet. Bring on the learning!

Curiosity killed the cat. After hearing so many people rave, including people who I hugely respect for the biz skills it was to much I just had to know what was so great about it!

  3. I have it but have yet to take the time to implement it but I saw the value in it and wanted to get it. Now I have to make it a priority and actually — USE it! 😉

  4. Carrie Ann says:

Yay! Hi! I am so glad you read the info that has helped me so much!

I just bought it too! I’ve been one of those sad, sad overworked, underpaid, shoot & burn the CD for 100 bucks joke of a photog. I knew I needed help! I almost didn’t get it, b/c I’m doing online mentoring with the fabulous Kelly France in Jan, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to have as much education as possible. 😉 Am so glad I got it! Cannot wait to implement a new pricing structure in 2011!

  6. Carrie says:

This sounds amazing! Can’t wait to get it!

It always seems like that is an extremely difficult thing to balance in a business. Thats great that someone has the answers!
