Be so good they can’t ignore you.

I don’t play games to win, probably because well I don’t usually win. And I’m fine with that, I don’t have to be the very best.

…But I do play games to have fun and in order to have fun I have to know that I played my best. Otherwise, I’m annoyed… Super- a-nnoyed!

Are you playing your best? Are you stepping up with the attitude that you’re going to be your best no matter what OR are you constantly excusing less than your best? Blaming it on everything you possibly can, except the truth… F-E-A-R.

Today’s post is short and to the point. If you’re going to do this, commit to it, all-the-way. I don’t mean you have to go full time, I don’t mean you have to do anything more than what’s right for you but don’t (what ever you do), don’t do less than what’s right for you.

If you want it… Make it happen.

If you love photography, believe in your inner artist.

If you dream of accolades, envision the awards.

If you want success, trust that you can thrive.

Most people are never going to be willing to put in the real work, to take up the honest courage and to believe in their dreams enough to truly THRIVE.

Are you most people?

Be so good, they can’t ignore you.

Love this! Just what I needed this morning!

You have no idea how much I needed this right now! After going through a couple days of hearing lots of negative attitudes from other photogs (or hobbyists rather) about my pricing and way of dealing with business I was feeling kind of beat down. Like you said, no more excuses. Im going to push harder than ever to prove that I am worth every bit of success I have and will always take steps to ensure that I am working for more.

    • Good for you Heidi! Invest in yourself, make the decision to thrive and put it the crazy dedication to make it happen. Those who rise the highest worked the hardest in the beginning. And it’s not that you eventually stop working but you are able to get to a point where the working is all on your terms. That’s exactly why I created THRIVE for those who are ready and willing.

Boy, that word gets me so upset… That ugly word FEAR!

    I hate it!
Thank you so much for this post. I am going to stump, beat up, and destroy that word fear since it had me trapped, tricked, and disappointed.

I am so glad I get your newsletter and emails. This is totally what I needed today. No more holding back for me. I am coming like a roaring lion devouring FEAR!

I have to take my photography to a new level with respect and a new mind!

    • You can do this Jackie… I whole heartedly with everything in me, BELIEVE THAT! Just today when I was running, I was thinking about how incredibly blessed I am and NOT in the ‘aren’t I awesome’ way, but instead in a ‘this is insanely incredible and so beyond my own capabilities’ way. Sometimes I just sit hear in shock as I consider everything that has unfolded for me and it all started because I had a dream to be a photographer and I refused to settle.

Was I scared? Oh, heck yes! I was so worried I would fail and that everyone would see it. They would watch my blog dry up, whither and die and there would be no way to hide it. That was one of my own biggest fears. BUT!!! I was going to try, and I was going to put everything I had into trying so that I at least new that if I did fail that there would be no regret. And deep down, I believed and do believe that if AND WHEN you give it your all, ‘failure’ usually decides to avoid you because he realizes that he won’t be able to crack you. Have you had a chance to see the Thriving Photographer yet? Be that lion, devour anything that holds you back and run… Run as hard and as fast as you can, and JUMP!

This site is new and it hasn’t officially launched yet, so please keep it on the DL… http://thethrivingphotographer.com/
