Why You Should Take Notice Of FEAR

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about a comment that I received this week from Jackie S.  She talked about how FEAR has “trapped, tricked and disappointed” her.

CAN YOU RELATE?

Jackie then continued to say…. “No more holding back for me. I am coming like a roaring lion, devouring FEAR! I have to take my photography to a new level with respect and a new mind!”

I love that Jackie used the work RESPECT.

ARE YOU GIVING YOURSELF, YOUR BUSINESS, AND YOUR DREAM…  RESPECT?

I don’t believe that FEAR is all bad.  I believe that often times it tells us we are after a worthwhile path! It means we are challenging what we know… What feels safe.

If fear is one side of the door, I believe that our true POTENTIAL is on the other side.

HAVE YOU EXHAUSTED ALL OF THE POTENTIAL INSIDE OF YOU?

James Stephens said, “Curiosity will conquer fear even more than bravery will.”

ARE YOU FEELING BRAVE?

It’s when we push ourselves past what’s considered “reasonable” – past what scares us…  When we press into the unknown.

That’s when we realize just how POWERFUL we really are!

DO YOU KNOW HOW POWERFUL YOU ARE?

I’m photographing my first wedding tomorrow. This is exactly what I needed! Thank you. 🙂

    • Good! You’ll do great! Just remember THEY HAVE NO IDEA what you’re supposed to be doing either!Just keep calm and as always appear to be in control, even if you don’t feel like you are!

Wow! You are SO reading my mind… I’m here thinking to give up… Well, because chasing your dreams is not always easy… It needs hard work (that I’m not afraid of), but it’s so damn hard to stand that process that you have to go through to became a good photographer. I mean, because I (and everybody) can see beautiful photos all over the place, mine feels like worth of nothing… I want it all now (NOW!!! I MEAN I WANT to reach that level with my photos that I can be proud of them) 😛 And because I know that it’s possible to take much beautiful photos, it makes hard to respect my own work. Well, but I guess the thing is that you don’t have any other choice than start respecting your work (and accept that this is a process) or just give up…

    Yippii…friday… I turn my brains off… : )
Happy week end to all! : )

    • Anna, you are far from alone with how you’re feeling! Just keep practicing but along with the practice, look to learn new techniques and then try them! That will help boost your abilities and confidence at a faster pace. Just keep moving forward!

I remember wondering if I would ever learn manuel or lighting or posing or ________________. Now they seem pretty easy but it’s not that they became easy, it’s that I became better! You will too!
