Make it Happen

Whatever it is that you’re wishing you could learn, be it  shooting in manual or really understanding how to price your photography… Be it fly fishing or posing, a second language or Lightroom…
Whatever it is you’re wanting to learn, the one factor that is more important than any other is the act of trying.  And then trying again.  Because you deserve the success that will follow, and you deserve to know what it feels like to have realized your goal!
As kids, we just got that learning took crazy-hard work: When you were learning to ride a bike, you got scraped up; when you were learning world history, you got headaches; when you were learning to climb trees, you also came to an intimate knowledge of Newton’s Law.  Back then, we seemed to inherently know that life
As grown-ups, this fact can easily be forgotten, or it’s often merely decided that trying is just too difficult.  But I disagree with that mentality – strongly!  If anything, this is when our abilities to learn and grow should be intensified, because now we have the discipline and the understanding to comprehend just how powerful what we know really is!
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.
– Aristotle
Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.
– William B. Sprague
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.
– Goethe
You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.
– Zig Ziglar

It's not about ideas
