I wanted to do something Christmasy today with it being Christmas Eve and all! I was trying to think of what I could share…
I love using Animoto. I persuaded my dad (I’m really good at that) to buy me the pro version a couple years ago so that I could make a slideshow for my stepmom’s birthday party and it’s been doing wonders for me ever since! I love to take a few video clips during each session to add to the video. I find that this creates a special element and really secures the sale. After all, without the slideshow they can’t have the video clips but maybe even more wonderful to me is the emotion that I feel live video is able to add to the clients experience. In fact I want to continue to explore Fusion (fusing video and still photography) even more in 2011.
These videos are shown at the beginning of the ordering appointment. Here is an example of a recent Christmas Session.
You can try Animoto yourself… And with this link you’ll get a bonus offer!
Adorable. I love the video fusion.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas Leah!!
Thank you Christine! Merry Christmas to you too!
What a gem of a slideshow!!! And that family could not be any cuter!
I have been wanting one of these programs so bad. You have to buy this each year don’t you? How is the ease of use? Can you burn it to a DVD for your client?
It’s incredibly easy which is why I use it. If it wasn’t fast and easy to integrate into my workload I wouldn’t be able to handle it. Every client gets to see it at the beginning of the ordering appointment and they are available in collections or for al carte purchase. All of my clients want them and 2/3 purchase them. When they purchase I bring it into iDVD and create a menu page to music with the slideshow to follow and burn it to DVD. It can be viewed on their computer, dvd player and iPhone and such.
Love the ease of Animoto. Gots lots more happy tears from mom’s as soon as I started using it. Can’t wait to start using fusion but need an upgraded camera first. Do you sell the Animoto video?
Fabulous! I have been wanting to do this. It really is the next step it seems, but I have felt intimidated. I don’t use a mac. Must take the leap…Thank you for sharing!
You definitely do not need a mac. Try the free version – it’s 30 sec only and it will have their logo just so you can see what it’s like. It’s super simple!
