We left everything behind (except the kids, of course!) to go explore the world. We took 8 months and traveled across 4 continents, exploring 7 countries. But all good things must come to an end and we found ourselves heading back to the U.S. and wondering...what's next?
We were still in Australia, talking as a family one night, when we asked the kids where they wanted to live when we got back to the U.S. Paysen, our youngest, asked, "Where could I ski in the winter and ride a dirt bike in the summer?" Daddy suggested Leavenworth, a little Bavarian town nestled in the mountains of WA state. The next day, Paysen announced that he'd put some houses on our Zillow list. We tried to explain that we couldn't actually live there, but he persisted...
Through a series of incredible events, we found ourselves buying a little fixer upper in the woods off Paysen's list. It has been a family affair - our labor of love. And somehow, somewhere between installing wood tile and building queen size bunk beds for the girls, we found our own little Haven in the Pines.
