I absolutely LOVE to read… Okay. I have to make a confession. I don’t actually have time to “read” pages from a book. I know, you’re not really all that surprised by that are you?
So maybe I should say it this way, I love to learn! So subsequently, I also love to listen and because I’m listening to business books, I just feel like I’m listening to a lecture so it works great for me!
I have all my Audio Books just loaded into my iPhone and on my computer. My favorite time to listen is to and from sessions and ordering appointments, but I’ll admit that I sneak listening in at the grocery store, on the way to pick up the kids and sometimes I stop one block up from our house, Â just so I can finish the current though in a chapter. I use Audible and of course Amazon to purchase all my books. Sometimes, I have to get the audio and the paper back just because I feel the overwhelming urge to get to highlight something. There are so many amazing books out there, these are just a few great ones to get you started but I have scores more to recommend if you’d like me to!
1. How To Win Friends and Influence People (Dale Carneige) *****!
2. Delivering Happiness (Tony Hsieh)
3. The Purple Cow (Seth Godin)
4. Making Ideas Happen (Scott Belsky)
5. The E-Myth Revisited (Michael E. Gerber)
6. The Little Red Book of Selling (Jeffrey Gitomer)

Leave a comment… Have you read any of these titles? Planning to? What’s your favorite business book? What’s the last business book you read? Any recommendations? No, Twilight is not considered a business book.
I loved reading Purple Cow, and E-Myth. I would add “Evil Plans”, “Poke the Box”, “The Happiness Project”, “Enchantment”, “The red rubber ball”, “Orbiting the giant hairball” to the list. My reading is very creativity oriented 🙂
So many great books… So little time! Thank goodness for audio!
I’ve read The Fast Track Photographer by Dane Sanders and now I’m reading The Fast Track Photographer Business Plan. Don’t let the title trick you, it’s not about getting into the business fast, it’s all about recognizing what makes you unique and how important that is to your business. Funny because I just asked friends on facebook for good fiction reads, looks like I’ll be starting another list for business books 🙂
Sounds like you’re going to be busy! Have fun! …I need to read Fast Track, I have it, but it’s not on my iPhone so I havn’t listened yet. Thanks for the reminder.
I’m reading a Scott Kelby thriller right now. (Yes, it’s a joke only photographers would get. It was impossible to resist.) Thanks for the list!
I thought it was funny. 🙂
I can imagine! Full of f-stoping action packed shutter speeding sequences?? LOL!
The Referral Engine by John Jantsch is great.
LOVE… The Referral Engine is awesome!!
I think I need to read all 6 of those ASAP. Thanks for the recommendations Leah 🙂
Start with the Purple Cow and How to win Friends and Influence People… LOVE those two! Tell me what you think!
