We can be it all (mom, wife, boss, owner, friend...), but we can't do it all. I help female business owners who want it all... (But not like that!), ditch the hustle mantra. 10+ years ago, I traded "always working" for part-time hours, earning a very full-time income. If you love the idea of simple systems, better family time, and cheeseboards (who doesn't love a cheeseboard?), then you belong with us!

3 Ted Talks Every Creative Business Owner Should See
When you put your work out there for the world to see, you hope that it will be received with praise, accolades and maybe even some thumbs up on FB, but you must also recognize that you’re opening yourself to vulnerability. Vulnerability is often considered a negative, but is it really? Consider the deepest and sweetest moments of your life, they often come when we are most vulnerable. So in our hearts we can recognize that being vulnerable can be a good thing. But…
Try to convince your mind that leaving yourself open to ridicule, strongly worded opinions and CAPS LOCK (especially after it’s happened to you) is like trying to convince a 3 year old that cabbage taste just like cotton candy. It’s a hard sell.
Being a creative, getting yourself into you creative space, staying positive and motivated…it’s hard work!
Today I’ve compiled 3 of my favorite Ted Talks on those very tasks. I hope they inspire you as they did for me.
Elizabeth Gilbert: Your Elusive Creative Genius
Shawn Achor: The Happy Secret to Better Work
Alison Ledgerwood: Getting stuck in the negatives (and how to get unstuck)
I would love to start a conversation in the comment section below! Let me know what you think! What do you agree with, disagree with? Want to test yourself?
