Stacking Balance: The Micro-Shift That Creates More Peace- Day 19 (Ep 152)

We all have things we hold onto—whether it’s a pair of jeans that haven’t fit in years, a holiday candle collection that could last until 2035, or a kitchen gadget we swore would change our lives but now just collects dust. Today’s micro-shift is about letting go, not just mentally, but physically, by donating the things we no longer need. By doing that you’ll invite more peace into your life.

Why This Matters

🧠 Clutter isn’t just about physical space—it affects our mental space too. Studies show that clutter increases cortisol, the hormone responsible for stress and overwhelm.
🏠 Holding onto things “just in case” keeps us stuck in a scarcity mindset rather than embracing abundance.
🙌 Letting go of guilt-based clutter (items we feel bad about not using) helps us release unnecessary emotional weight.

The truth is, the more we hold onto things that don’t serve us, the more stress we carry. But when we declutter, we create space for peace, clarity, and a home that feels like a sanctuary rather than a storage unit.

Your Challenge: Find Five Items to Donate

Ready to feel lighter? Here’s what to do:
✔️ Identify the most cluttered area in your home—what popped into your head first? Start there.
✔️ Find five things you don’t use, don’t love, or don’t need.
✔️ Put them in a garbage bag and take the bag straight to your car. (This is key—don’t just move clutter from one spot to another!)
✔️ Bonus points if you drop off your donation this week!

Breaking Free from the “I Should Sell This” Trap

Many of us hesitate to donate because we think, “I should sell this.” If that’s you, give yourself today to take action. List it on Facebook Marketplace or another platform right now. If you don’t, let it go.

Holding onto things because you “might” sell them just keeps clutter in your life. If it’s been sitting there for months, chances are, it’s not going anywhere. Free yourself from that burden!

Letting go isn’t just about clearing space—it’s about creating peace

The Ripple Effect of Letting Go

Letting go isn’t just about a tidier space. It’s about a clearer mind, reduced stress, and shifting your mindset from scarcity to abundance. It also allows someone else to find joy and use in what no longer serves you.

And here’s the truth: You won’t miss it. For every 100 things you donate, maybe one will cross your mind later. And if that happens? You can always buy it again (but now with more awareness of what you actually need).
