Predictable Revenue & Systems That Set You Free (Ep 159)

Today I’m excited to share insights from a recent coaching call inside of Mom Business Academy. In this session, we tackled three key questions that are essential for building a sustainable and fulfilling business:

✅ How to create predictable revenue.

✅ How to ensure business growth aligns with your values.

✅ How to prioritize tasks when everything feels urgent.

These challenges are so common for entrepreneurs, and in this inside look into a Mom Business Academy I’m sharing the strategic solutions to help you overcome them and create a business that thrives. Let’s dive in!

Predictable Revenue Starts With Knowing Your Why and Who

Let’s be real, chasing consistent income can feel like chasing a unicorn, right? You pour your heart and soul into your business, but the money flow is unpredictable. But trust me, it really is achievable!

The secret sauce? Clarity and strategic offer creation!

You MUST know exactly what problem you solve and exactly who you solve it for. This isn’t just some fluffy business concept; it’s the foundation upon which you build everything.

Think about it. Pretend I am a yoga instructor. Am I offering yoga to busy moms of littles, helping them regain strength, offering childcare so they can make it to class and help them find moments of calm amidst the chaos of motherhood? Or am I offering yoga to empty nesters, helping them take care of changing and aging bodies, helping them rediscover their passions and create fulfilling second acts?

Even though my service is the same (yoga) those are vastly different audiences with vastly different needs. The more specific you are, the more effectively you can market your services and attract the right clients.

Once you nail that down, the magic begins. You can build a whole ecosystem of offers, a “value ladder,” designed to meet your customers right where they are, no matter what their budget or level of commitment.

The Value Ladder Explained:

The value ladder is a tiered system of offers, ranging from free resources to high-end services. It allows you to nurture leads, build trust, and guide clients along a journey towards deeper engagement with your brand.

  • Freebie/Lead Magnet: This is your entry point! A free, valuable resource that attracts your ideal client and gets them on your email list. Think a checklist, an ebook, a mini-course, etc.
  • Low Ticket Offer: Your “gateway drug” – a small, super valuable offer that delivers a quick win. Think mini-course, a template pack, a workbook, access to a private community, etc. This is often connected to an ad spend! The goal is to get people in the door and hooked on your awesome content! This is like a grocery store “loss leader.”
  • Signature Course: This is your core offer – the one that provides a major transformation. It’s the product or service you’re known for, the one that delivers the most impactful results for your clients.
  • High Ticket Offer: This is for your VIP clients, those who want the ultimate experience and personalized support (1:1 coaching, VIP days, retreats, mastermind programs, etc.).

Remember that Selling IS Serving! It needs to be a natural flow! The high-ticket offer is an invitation to people who have already invested with you, not a new customer! You’re already helping them; this is just a more personalized and intensive level of support.

And this is important: Are you actually selling? Are you talking about your offer? This isn’t about being pushy; it’s about clearly communicating the value you provide. Don’t be afraid to showcase your products or services and explain how they can solve your ideal client’s problems. Your mission is to serve your client, and your product can help with that!

Grow Your Business WITHOUT Losing Your Soul (Values-Based Scaling!)

Scaling your business doesn’t need to sacrifice your core values. Determine what you value, document your process and automate where you can. Prioritize what truly matters – family, health, and well-being. A clear understanding of your values will guide your decisions and prevent burnout.

Strategies for Values-Driven Scaling:

Effective Delegation: Build a team that can support your growth, delegating tasks that are outside your area of expertise. Be willing to find a new team member if it isn’t working out.

Good, Better, Best Framework: Evaluate opportunities and decisions based on their alignment with your values, choosing the “best” option.

System Documentation: Document processes to ensure consistent quality and facilitate delegation.

Strategic Automation: Leverage technology to automate repetitive tasks and free up your time.

Conquer the “Everything is Urgent” Feeling & Regain Control (Prioritization Power!)

Ah, the ultimate struggle for busy moms! When every task screams for your attention, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and paralyzed. “Respond to that email! Finish that blog post! Prep dinner! Help with homework!” It’s enough to make you want to hide under the covers. But trust me, there’s a way out of the chaos.

Here’s my go-to strategy for gaining control:

  • Brain Dump It ALL: Get every single task, idea, and worry out of your head and onto paper or a digital list. No filter, no judgment, just get it all out. It’s amazing how much mental space this frees up!
  • Prioritize: Now, look at your list and identify the most important tasks. Use a system like the Eisenhower Matrix (urgent/important) to categorize tasks and focus on the highest-impact activities. I love to find the tasks that feed into each other!
  • Be Willing to Let Things Go! Turns out I don’t need to do that! Not everything on your to-do list is essential. Be willing to delegate, defer, or even delete tasks that aren’t aligned with your goals or values.

Most of the Emails in Your Inbox Are Not Urgent! If that feels urgent, if that distracts you and takes you away from what you were working on, then build a little system for yourself that removes that trigger! I turn off notifications to remove the temptation!

Like Assembling a Puzzle, Start With the Corners and Edges! It’s all about starting with the framework and the most essential pieces.
