Why the heck do we not learn about money in school? Having money confidence is so important! But, when I was young, I had no understanding of money — and for good reason. Most of us aren’t taught how to build, manage or accumulate wealth. It wasn’t until my mid 20’s that I started to get better, and I was my 30’s before I gained any real confidence in my money making and managing skills.
Managing money feels intimidating and daunting. I swear they use big words just to keep it that way.
But over time, I decided I was tired of feeling awkward around money. I wanted to be confident with my money and I wanted to know how to teach my kids about money.
Here are my favorite resources that I had to share with you!
1.Happy Money by Ken Honda
Here it is on Amazon and Audible. I absolutely LOVED this book. It’s quick and easy and a great one to break you into thinking about and changing your relationship with money. Plus, it’s the best book I’ve read on money mindset!

It’s important to know where your money is going. And maybe even more important is to figure out all those monthly charges. It’s easy to forget some of them after a while. I do an audit once a year to check all monthly charges, and there are always a few it’s time to say goodbye to.
4. I also love the book Women & Money by Suze Orman (I grabbed it on Audible). She has a podcast on Audible too. If you prefer book form, you can find a used copy for around $5.
