The Power of Accountability

Before we dive in, let’s do a quick check-in. You’re 95% more likely to stick with a habit when you have accountability. So, have you created your accountability pod yet? If not, take a moment right now to send a text and make it happen. Also, don’t forget to download your free resource pack to help you track your progress. Now, let’s get into it!

The Myth of Adding More

Balance isn’t always about adding—it’s often about subtracting. Yet, when faced with a problem, our instinct is usually: What do I need to add to fix this? When, in reality, the real solution might be removing something that’s no longer serving us.

Letting go can be tough, but sometimes, the bravest thing we can do is release what isn’t working. Think about it:

  • Are you stuck on page 158 of a book you think you should love, but secretly don’t?
  • Do you force yourself to attend a workout class you dread every week?

It’s time to quit those things and make space for better options. Life is too short to force yourself through things that drain you.

Quitting Doesn’t Mean Failing

When you quit something that isn’t working, you’re not giving up—you’re quitting to find balance, you’re making room for something better. Quitting that book doesn’t mean you stop reading altogether. Skipping a dreaded workout class doesn’t mean you stop exercising—it means you try a different approach that actually excites you.

Ask yourself: What would work better for me right now? Maybe it’s switching to an at-home workout or choosing a book that truly excites you.

Your Challenge: Quit One Thing Today

Today’s challenge is simple: identify and quit one thing that isn’t working for you. It could be:

  • A book you’ve been slogging through
  • A hobby that no longer brings you joy
  • A reoccurring commitment you secretly resent

And if quitting feels too big, press pause instead. One of my favorite phrases is “Pin it for a minute”.
Give yourself permission to take a break and reassess in a few weeks. You don’t have to make a permanent decision right away.

The Sunk Cost Fallacy: Why We Stay Stuck

Ever held onto a gym membership you never use because you already paid for it? That’s called the sunk cost fallacy—the tendency to keep investing in something just because you already have.

But doubling down on something that doesn’t serve you only leads to more guilt, stress, and wasted energy. Instead, quitting frees you up to find something that truly aligns with your life.

Quitting to Find Balance- Your Permission Slip

Today, take five minutes to reflect on what’s weighing you down. Then, let it go—without guilt. Notice how much lighter you feel afterward.

Quitting isn’t failure—it’s freedom. By releasing what no longer serves you, you create space for something better.

Share Your Win!
