Inspired Photography Branding – Contemporary & Fresh

I just finished up Terri Z’s Custom Marketing Kit last weekend… Terri has been waiting forever and a little longer so I really wanted to do a little something special to say, ‘THANKS A GAZILLION FOR YOUR PATIENCE TERRI!!!’ As we were going through the design process, Terri had sent me a room that she liked to give me an idea of the overall feel that she wanted… I was so glad she did because after sending me the image of the room I decided to pull a lot more neutral in, which were not necessarily a dominant part of the original very bright, very bold paper pack.
Terri is already well branded with a great logo and blog, so based on thats and everything Terri sent over, this is the color palate that I came up with for Terri’s Kit…

Here are samples of some of the items from Terri’s Custom Marketing Kit

Next is how I would maybe present and put together Terri’s finished branding and marketing pieces… For Terri’s to detract from to Kid-ish of a feel, I think it’s important to try to add earthy and modern elements to bring out a contemporary vibe. Using Neutrals and in this case, anything Kraft colored will really help accomplish that goal!

Thought Process: Normally with packaging I would pull a tissue paper, but based on the room style (and thinking of that awesome wood side table) I decided I wanted to find something that could make the packaging more contemporary. Now I don’t know about softness and if it would be a concern for scratching, of course you could always have the product in a cellophane sleeve or some sort of protections layer… But I thought using the wood fibers would really add the right feel! Just imaging opening a box to find your new album laying in fine wood fiber? Uber cool right? I also really liked the white clean contemporary bags that I found at Rice Studio Supply to help maintain the modern feel and because I think it’s all about the little things I thought a bag tag would be the perfect finishing touch for when it’s presented to the client. I love the idea of using the clear luggage tags and printing your favorite wallet sized image on one side with a probably the pink polka dot paper on the other side and finished with the orange and white stripe ribbon from May Arts.

Two Peas – Digi-Kit Classic Kraft Label

The Go{4}Pro Ultimate Marketing Kit – Custom Design

Etsy – Return Wood Handle Address Stamp

{The Packaging}

Rice Studio Supply – Oxford Shopper White Bag

Rice Studio Supply – Craft Boxes

Paper Source – Orange Birds in Fuchsia Fine Paper (19 1/2″ x 27 1/2″)

Etsy – Clear Plastic Luggage Tags (set of 10)

May Arts – Chord Burlap Ribbon

May Arts – White Oval Grosgrain Ribbon

May Arts – 3/8″ Grosgrain Stripe / Orange

Nashville Wraps – Natural Fine Wood Fiber <— I wanted something more contemporary for the bag filling than tissue, and I love incorporating the natural kraft color to modernize the bright bolds.

Note: I wanted to let you know that when I design a custom kit, I use the Everything Marketing Kit – Paysen as my base. Everything in the Paysen Kit is fully layered so I just start dropping in the new paper choices and swapping colors. If you are at all familiar with clipping masks, color overlays and the transform tool you can definitely customize The Adi Kit or The Paysen Kit to your hearts desire all by yourself and avoid the huge wait list that I have right now! And even if you’re not familiar, You Tube can teach you!
