The copycat

As many of you know there was a post about copying and how it’s not good for anyone involved. After reviewing it myself and having it legally reviewed I published it but have had a yucky feeling ever since. While I was very careful not to disclose any details about who it was and even wrote it with the intent to encourage my readers to blaze their own trail (Which I think is a great message!!)… I just can’t shake the yucky feeling and so it’s been removed.

This week has been so hard on me, honestly I’m a mess. People who know me personally know that tragedy came not just once but in 3 forms over the last 5 days and finding out about my stuff being taken and used without permission, well…. It’s the only thing that I do have any power over fixing. But it’s not fixed yet and until it is, I’m not going to blog about it – plus I don’t really want to put any extra thought or energy into it then is required.

This weekend I’m going to try to find some peace. Starting with a date with my hubby tonight. We’re going to go see Pirates 4 in 3D. I’ve never seen a 3D movie. Right now… I  just need to surround myself with positive uplifting things. Cheers to a better tomorrow.

Feel free to leave a comment that will make me smile! Jokes, your favorite treat, what makes you happy…

My kids favorite joke is…

Where do cow’s go on a first date?”

To the moo-vies.

Leah, I am so sorry that you have had the week that you have had – one filled with tragedy of a life taken too soon and the copycat and whatever else has made it a difficult one. While I certainly understand how upset you are, you will be blessed for removing that post, especially if it made you feel awful. It was the right thing to do, and the offender will be handled in the right way.

I’m a terrible joke teller, so I’ll just tell you that reading your blog every single day makes my day brighter and makes me feel more inspired! I can tell you the first joke that my daughter told me when she was 7… What do you call a pig that does karate??? A pork chop, baahaahaahaahahaaa…..

And if that isn’t enough, go see Bridesmaids and you will laugh your head off! It is wet your pants funny and it sounds like you need it.

There are many of us out here that read you and have gained so much from what you’re great enough to share.
I don’t know you, and I doubt I’ll ever get the opportunity to, but I want you to know that you’re in my thoughts. I lost my mother unexpectedly in January, I know what tragedy can do to your world.
I wish you and yours much love and health.

My son’s favorite joke is as follows.

    Knock knock
    Who’s there?
    Banana who?

    Knock knock
    Who’s there?
    Banana who?

    Knock knock
    Who’s there?
    Orange who?
Orange you glad I didn’t say banana!

Ah, the innocence of five year olds. 🙂

    Hi Leah,

I have never commented before, but I am a long-time stalker. 🙂 I just wanted to encourage you–I thought the post today was so tasteful and thoughtful, and your tender heart of mercy and forgiveness was clear. Thank you for having so much integrity, even in taking it down when I’m not sure you needed to. Your generosity and wisdom is always refreshing and inspiring. thank you, thank you! And enjoy your date night!

I hope things calm down for you soon 🙂 A frappacino from Starbucks always helps me relax and just de -stress. Give it a try, what can it hurt right? 😉 Wishing you a nice and relaxing holiday weekend.

  7. Alison says:

Leah, my thoughts and prayers are with you and I am sorry that this copycat piled on top of the rest of the stuff. I hope you have a wonderful date and Pirates is a great way to start:)
    My worst kids joke:
How do you make Lady Gaga cry?
    You poker face.
    Yeah, it is that bad:)

Hey Leah! Sending some love from the east coast! I don’t think you should be ashamed of that post at all! It wasn’t as if it simply looked like yours- it WAS yours! the image thing really got me! That’s copyrighted material and you have every right to be upset. Having said that, I hope you have a safe and relaxing weekend free of business worries. Me and the hubs are going to see Hangover 2 for our date tonight! Enjoy your evening girl!

So sorry to hear that you are going through a hard time. The post about not selling paper had me in tears, so I can’t even imagine how hard it has been on you, especially on top of the other things going on in your life. Keep your head up, things will get better. You are a beautiful and wonderful person, and deserve only the best. Just know that whatever is going on is happening for a reason, and you will pull through it all.

I don’t have any funny jokes on the tip of my tongue right now, all I can offer is positive reinforcements that everything will be ok!

  11. Krystal says:

I can only imagine what you are going through. Finding peace is so important.

  12. Christine says:

I don’t know any jokes but wanted to let you know that you rock! I think you are beautiful, lovely, sweet and kind. I hope your days and nights start to look up.

I like to eat chocolate when I am down… IKEA if you have one near you, has really yummy chocolate. It is nothing decadent but something about it is pretty tasty : )

  13. Marissa says:

Here is a silly little joke that makes me chuckle 🙂

What do you call a man with a rubber toe????

And you have to say it with an accent 🙂

Keep your chin up! Just know that there will be a rainbow after the storm 🙂

  14. Laura says:

Just catching up on the blog, and wanted to let you know you’re in my thoughts and prayers! You are such an amazing woman, and this blog is one of my most favorite stops! Thanks for all you do! I hope you know how many people you inspire each and every day!!! Snuggling on the couch with my hubby and eating ice cream always makes me feel better 🙂 AND…the only joke I can think of (after reading someone else’s in the comments) is one I saw on Ellen the other day!

How does Lady Gaga like her steak?

    Raw….raw….raw raw raw-ah
