How I read 50 books a Year as a Mompreneur (and what I’m reading now)

I love learning! That’s the real motivator. It’s not that I’m some incredible bookworm, even despite reading 50+ books a year – I still don’t see myself as a bibliophile. But I am obsessed with learning about and understand things, people, and why we do what we do… So, I read! Or rather, listen, because while I love the sentiment of sitting out in the sunshine with lemonade and my book (or in the winter – curled up on the couch with cocoa) – this mama isn’t willing to set hours and hours aside for that, so my proper book time is mostly consigned to Scripture reading (which I’m completely happy with).

So yep – that’s the BIG secret on how I can read 52+ books a year… I don’t, I listen to them! I’ve got my Libby library, Audible, and Bookshelf apps ready for me every time I jump in the car or slide in for some dish duty.

And here’s my other trick… I have a different ? book for every ? car scenario. Here’s what I mean…

If it’s just Paysen (my 11-year-old) and I, we’re reading Make Your Bed by William H. McRaven.

If It’s my girl’s and I, we reading the latest proper romance we’ve chosen (Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson is our favorite).

If it’s the hubby and I, we’re reading 7 Miracles that Saved America by Chris Stewart and Ted Stewart.

If it’s just me, I’m currently reading An Intentional Life by Karen Scott, but my most recent favorite was The Power of Moments by Chip Heath and Dan Heath

And as a family, we listen to a series. We loved The War I finally Won, Harry Potter (of Course), The Green Ember, The Magnolia Story… I could go on.

If you want more book recommendations by category, I’ve got them for you right here!

And I LOVE recommendations! So, please – leave a comment and tell me your favorite reads.
