.
“When should I get a bookkeeper, accountant or C.P.A. for my business?”

“What’s the difference between them?”

“How do I decide which one is best for me?”

“How do I go about hiring a bookkeeper, accountant or C.P.A.?”

“What questions should I be asking them?”

“Will they laugh at me for being so clueless?”

There are a ton of questions when it comes to the world of taxes and finances and how we need to negotiate those waters. Today’s episode is in response to questions that seem to be popping up on a daily basis.

But here’s the best part… In today’s video, I’m going to teach you how to get a crash course in Small Business 101 – with a syllabus that’s structured all around your own business!

If you do this… You won’t believe how much you will learn about how to be successful in your photography business!

In today’s episode we’re talking about what the differences are between bookkeepers and CPA’s, how to find who’s right for you and the 10 questions you need to ask when you interview them.

Yay! This is so timely for me. You made this very important but overwhelming task finally seem surmountable. Thank you, for offering your knowledge and experience!

    • Hurray! That was my hope! I thought it seemed so hard and scary to and once I did it, all I could think was, ‘why didn’t I do this sooner?!’ It was such a relief, I felt lighter and a bit more grownup too. 😉

Thank you, this is super helpful and something that I’ve been procrastinating on currently! I know I need help (I answered yes to #1 and #2 !) but just haven’t pulled the trigger. Are all of your Friday videos saved on you tube somewhere to access at a later date, once I’m setting up the interview with the accountant and would like to refer to this again?

  4. Jodi says:

Love love! Thanks so much for the great info!

  5. Laura Gattis says:

I can’t thank you enough for this! I left my job in November (nearly a year ago) to pursue photography full time and still haven’t officially set up my business because I have no idea even where to begin or what type of business is best to set up. It completely overwhelms me!
I appreciate so much all the time you put into these videos. They are wonderful. Thank you again!

    • Aww. Thank you so much Laura! That feels so good to hear! Let me know what you need. Emailing me your most burning questions… I’m preparing for my fall line up so I’d LOVE the input!
